Marathon Grant brings opera to youth near Toledo

An education program designed to teach elementary school children about opera has been given awarded a grant. Marathon Petroleum Company awarded a $10,000 grant to Toledo Opera's, Opera on Wheels program. The touring education program will now be able to extend its reach into all elementary schools in Hancock County. The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation began providing funds for Opera On Wheels in three elementary schools in the Findlay area this year. The MPC grant ensures that over five thousand students will have a live, classical performing arts experience in their own school.
